Influenced by minimal and sculptural forms of Donald Judd, like Riyan, its scale transcends typical single-purpose furniture to serve as a coffee table while neatly concealing four ideally scaled children’s chairs, that easily transform into a play/dining table for four toddlers.
Allowing for flexibility in production for small or large quantities, Mitra is designed with a single standard 4’x8’ panel that yields all components necessary to assemble the entire set. Shared panel widths for table legs as well as chair components allow for maximum efficiency in production.
