This project is yet another prototype in the City of Los Angeles’ response to the emergency homeless crisis. The project adds 34 tiny homes for families currently experiencing homelessness. Each tiny home will provide a kitchenette, living area, bedroom, and private bathroom. The site amenities include plenty of open space, laundry, a pet area, support services, and case management. The design aims to create a coherent campus imbued with a sense of dignity and respect through use of strategically placed vibrant colors and materials. The colorpalette draws inspiration fromthe work of celebrated Chicano artists Patsy Valdezand Frank Romero.
