The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, along with a downstairs studio, features 12 foot-high, maple-clad ceilings and walls of glass in the main living/dining space. Kitchen cabinetry is custom-made from the same maple and provides a counterpoint to the hand finished, polished concrete floors.
Natural light pours into the spaces through skylights and south facing clerestory windows while strategically placed openings capture the canyon breezes and provide for generous natural ventilation.
Hyper-efficient floor plan was necessary due to the strict “Hillside Ordinance”, and as a result there is no dedicated hallway/circulation space in the home.
Seamless indoor-outdoor living, abundant natural light and cross-ventilation provide for rudiments of Southern California Living. The house was featured in Dwell on Design.
